PrimeVR
Our workshops are a great way of bringing the curriculum to life without having the hassle of organising a school trip!

Our Animals VR workshop brings pupils face-to-face with incredible wildlife in habitats such as the polar regions, the rainforest, the Serengeti, the jungle and underwater worlds. Immersed in these environments, pupils can explore how animals have adapted to survive – from penguins keeping warm in the freezing cold, to rainforest creatures blending into the canopy, to lions hunting across the savannah. Linking directly to the British Science Week 2026 theme “Curiosity – what is your question?”, this experience encourages pupils to think like scientists: Why does this animal live here? How does it survive? What would happen if the environment changed? By sparking curiosity and inspiring thoughtful questions, our VR day helps children develop a deeper understanding of biodiversity and the importance of adaptation.

English At PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by virtually transporting pupils around the world to see a range of different animals! Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about each of the animals and their habitats but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. Give VR a go and see how it helps with creative writing!
Biology PrimeVR can bring your topic to life by transporting your class around the world to see a wide range of animals and habitats. Using virtual reality headsets, we'll take your class to Antarctica to see some penguins, the Amazon Rainforest to see a tarantula, the African savannah to see some lions, the Indian Ocean to see some sperm whales and many more. This workshop is a great way of bringing your topic to life!
Physical Geography With our Animals workshop, your class will be transported around the world, where they'll visit different biomes and habitats, from the Amazon Rainforest in South America, to the Serengeti in Tanzania and even the Pacific Ocean. This will provide an excellent opportunity for your class to learn about how different animals adapt to survive in their habitats, based on the different climates, predators and ecosystems.
We have extensive experience delivering workshops in a wide range of SEN settings, working with students from KS2 through to KS4. The feedback we have received from schools about our VR workshops has been overwhelmingly positive. We offer a range of workshops that can be adapted to suit the individual needs of your students.
Before confirming a booking, we arrange a call with the school to discuss your students’ needs in detail. This allows us to explain how the day will run, what you can expect from the sessions, and to agree on any additional measures or adjustments that may be needed to ensure all students feel comfortable and supported.
To make our visits viable, we encourage whole-school participation (KS2 and above). Our workshops are highly engaging and immersive, so we recommend a maximum session length of 30 minutes per class to help prevent fatigue or sensory overload.
Our VR headsets are accessible for students who use wheelchairs. Depending on individual preference, the headset strap can be worn over the head or the device can simply be held up to the eyes like a pair of binoculars. If any students find the headset overwhelming, we also provide tablets as an alternative (usually up to four per visit). This ensures that all students can still take part and engage with the content in a way that feels comfortable for them.
As our workshops are predominantly visual, students with hearing impairments are still able to benefit from the experience.
For safety reasons, we recommend that students who are prone to seizures or who have epilepsy consult with a medical professional before using a VR headset. We also require parental or guardian consent for all students who will be using our VR equipment.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss how we can support your school or if you have any questions about our SEN-friendly approach.

★★★★★
Such an invaluable experience to 'travel' to places that most children (and teachers) will never get to experience in real life! The children's excitement and enthusiasm was infectious and we cannot wait for Prime VR to come back to our school again soon.
