Our theme park can be your outdoor classroom, where children can discover some amazing rides and attractions, while creating fun memories.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

Maths

Our park is one big maths investigation, whether it be ride capacity or weighing food for our animals. Our maths investigation workshop will take pupils across the park on this maths adventure.

Design Technology

Mechanics and engineering

Designing a theme park is a lengthy and complex task. In our Theme Park Design workshop (which can be adapted for KS3), we look at the design process for theme park rides and even get to create our brand new rollercoaster design concept.

A theme park is one giant physics experiment. From K'nex rollercoaster experiments to a detailed look at the equations to work out how much energy a rollercoaster has.

Mainly based at primary level.

What size groups do you cater for?

We can cater for groups of 12 up to 300+

Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?

We have a dedicated Education Centre which can seat up to 36 pupils classroom style and 60 pupils lecture style. Our classroom includes an interactive touch screen, hand washing facilities and is located near a cafe and toilets.
For larger groups we have access to a 150-seat lecture style auditorium that can be used for lecture style sessions.
Activities are also delivered out in our 65-Acre park.

Is there first aid on site?

Yes. We have a dedicated Medical suite on site manned by our medical team.

Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?

Yes. We have a ride accessibility system in place. Drayton also has accessible facilities and a hoist room on site.

Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Yes. We are able to adapt workshops to suit the additional needs of your children. We are also including resources to assist autistic children in every workshop as we work towards being an autism friendly environment.

Anything else?

Drayton Manor Education is proud to be holders of the LOtC quality badge and are led by a qualified teacher. We will support schools through the planning and risk assessment process and are able to offer advice on all aspects of the trip.
