Crete is a great new venue waiting to be fully discovered. We have been operating school trips to Crete since 2008. You can enjoy all the usual activities and some unique to Crete, and of course the weather is not such an issue as the UK. All our Crete dedicated instructors are UK based and hold UK National Governing Body Awards. All safety procedures and equipment is maintained to our same high UK standard. We are based close to the ancient Venetian capital of Hania in Western Crete.
We have above all other activity operators to Crete a unique knowledge of Crete and it's culture. We have a dedicated network of support service's available to us in Crete, and local guides to support our UK instructors. You can find out more on our general web site or take a look at our dedicated Crete web site: www.creteadventures.co.uk We have a range of sample 5 and 7 day programmes, all programmes can be developed to meet your individual needs. The actual cost of a fully catered activity residential is very comparable to an equivalent stay in the UK, but the added value of you investing in the travel expense is an incredible school residential that your pupils will remember for ever.
With the advent of low cost airlines the cost of getting there is greatly reduced. We are able to assist and advise you on the best airlines and most competitive deals at the time. The best time to visit Crete is between March and early June when Crete is in full spring bloom. Later in the year between late September and the end of October is also good as the incredibly hot summer is over and the temperature is more bearable and comparable to a British summer. Crete is an incredible activity destination that we are ready, able and waiting to share with you.
Accommodation is in 4 star self catering apartments in three adjoining blocks. The accommodation overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is just across a small road where you can follow a short path to a private beach for an early morning dip. Schools are assigned blocks according to the group size. You can of course self cater if you wish but our full catering facility operates in partnership with a local tavern where your pupils will discover a tradition taste of Greece. Of course all dietary needs are catered for. The people we work with to provide accommodation are the same people we have worked with since 2008 and the reason we have stayed with them is because they deliver an exception level of service.
Apart from the obvious attraction of new and exciting activity venues, there is a wealth of history round every corner. Archaeological sites and visits to places of interest can be included in any of our activity packages. There are great beaches and numerous opportunities for self lead activities. Crete is a very safe destination in comparison to many other European destinations, theft is almost unheard of, harassment by hawkers and street vendors is also almost unheard of in our resort, and best of all Cretan hospitality is legendary.
We can arrange cultural visits and ethnic social gathering in the evening where pupils can listen to traditional Cretan music and join in with the dancing if they wish to. We are complete experts on school residential activity breaks in Crete, so why not give us a call and discuss your options.
