Example Itineraries

Adaptable Travel can tailor make an itinerary based around the exact requirements of your group. The following is our most popular itinerary for school trips to CERN.

DAY 1:
Arrive at Geneva airport and transfer to your accommodation in central Geneva, for free time to enjoy the city. Adaptable Travel can organise evenings activities including bowling or a boat cruise if required.

DAY 2:
Today, your students will have the amazing opportunity to visit the amazing CERN. This is reached easily be reached by the free public transport, which stops right by your accommodation (Adaptable Travel will provide full instructions). Students will be able to witness science in the making, by receiving a guided tour at CERN from scientists working on the project(s). Please note, the exact content of what you may see will influenced by what is taking place at CERN at the time of your visit. In the afternoon, your group can enjoy more science themed visits including a visit to nearby Microcosm exhibition and History of Science Museum. Alternatively, the nearby ICT Discovery Centre is great for exploring the evolution and future of ICT.

DAY 3:
Depending upon flight times, you may have some free time. If you have free time, why not embark upon a boat cruise on Lake Geneva and take in some of the stunning scenery surrounding Geneva. The return to the UK.
