What activities are available during group visits?
Team Building Activity Day - e.g. Borneo Low Ropes Assault course combined with Rafting.
Residentials from between 1 and 4 nights - fully catered including a full range of Adventurous Activities
We come to you - Its a Knock Out Team days for year end Activities, Year 7 inductions, Rewards days.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
We offer tailor made itineraries from our diverse range of adventurous activities including High Ropes, Low Ropes, Rafting, Pizza Making, Den Building, Target Shooting, It's a Knock Out, Quad Bike Trekking and Paintball. A visit to Oaker Wood challenges young people both physically and mentally and encourages them to work as a team. They will have ample opportunity to improve their listening skills and build on their independence while on a residential with us as we encourage young people to be responsible for their own pod area and to help around camp with such tasks as washing up and fire lighting.
Our rafting activities help young people to feel at home near to, on and in the water in a safe and reassuring environment. We teach the young people about potential dangers and ensure they know how to be safe around water.
What size groups do you cater for?
School Groups from as small as 15 to as large as 150 for residential or 250 for day visits. For larger groups we recommend we come to you with our mobile It's a Knock Out and Team Building events.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
We have a wooden classroom on site.
Is there first aid on site?
All our Senior Instructors our 1st aid trained.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Our site is not really suitable for wheelchair users, although one boy in a wheelchair did stay for a for whole week in 2018, supported by his carer. However, we have worked with a wide range of disability groups including the Royal National College for the Blind, Hereford Children's Deaf Society. Please talk to us about the needs of your group.

Who are Oaker Wood Leisure?
Outdoor Activity Centre on the Herefordshire, Shropshire border. We specialise in School & Youth (NCS) Residentials and Activity Days. Activities on offer include High Ropes and Zip Wire, Monkey Climbing, Target Shooting, Low Rope Assault Course, Team Building Courses, Outdoor Pizza Making, Den Making, Paintball, Quads and Rafting.
Residentials are based in our Woodland Glamping Villages. Each Village sleeps up to 60 and we offer total exclusivity so you do not have to share facilities with another school group.
We also offer It's a Knock Out Inflatable Team Building events at your school.
