UK School Trips & Overseas Study Tours

Educational trips viewed by 89,458 UK teachers & EVCs in the past 12 months

At Plan my School Trip we are not interested in boring you with details of every local park and leisure centre in the UK - we only list the very best educational school trips and study tours in the UK, Europe and beyond. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to plan and arrange your next UK school trip, by listing attractions and venues who give you a hand writing those risk assessments, and offer worksheets; already been tried and tested by numerous UK schools.

Finding a trip or study tour to compliment your coursework is not too difficult, but finding one that will deliver a great educational experience involves more of a leap of faith. As well as making sure that we only show you the UK school trip venues and overseas study tours that excel in what they do, we also allow EVCs and teachers to write personal reviews, from their own experience. After all, the marketing department of every visitor attraction is going to make their place sound fantastic, but a glowing report from a fellow educational visit coordinator who has already experienced your intended school trip is far more reassuring.

Some UK school trip venues try to shoehorn every national curriculum topic into their offering in order to maximise their appeal and visitor numbers. Doing so makes perfect sense from their point for view, but it means your class may get a less than impressive field trip or visit when compared to other study experiences available to them. Unlike other websites, at Plan my School Trip we are trying to make the website work for the school teachers as well as for the venues, so we ensure that trip options, both here in the UK and further afield, are relevant to each curriculum subject area.

We really hope that you are able to find the perfect fieldtrip for your school on this site, but if you are struggling, then why not give us a shout and we will do our best to help you. We would also like to hear from you if you have been on any of the UK school trips or overseas study tours that we feature. You can tell us what you think using the review form on each visit page. Or you can interact with us on social media.
